Wish I could give more than 5-stars for this rating. Seriously…If you’re considering a new deck or deck reface & rail replacement stop searching and call North Decks and Outdoor Living! You will not be disappointed! Tyler and his entire crew (Abraham and Gabriel) are amazing. From the initial consultation all the way through the completion of the project we were continuously delighted by the thoughtful and sincere approach. Excellent project management, communication (before and after hours) and attention to detail. Wow! Wow! Wow! Tyler also went above and beyond. While at the Charlotte Home and Garden Show he went on a mission to find us an awning vendor that could meet our architectural challenges. Thrilled to report he was successful! (Shout out to @MarygroveAwnings.). Seriously, can’t thank Tyler enough for his time, talent, and attention to detail. You won’t regret reaching out to Tyler… go ahead… just do it! Thanks again Tyler! Our home had an existing screen porch with several screens that had been torn.  Tyler and his team offered a solution that included replacing 2x4 wood uprights with screen that was only stapled, with long-lasting aluminum uprights with screen that is tightly secured into the aluminum frame.  Tyler does an exceptional job of communicating throughout the entire process from quoting the job all the way through the final product. It was such a great experience working with Tyler and his company. I am a pretty picky person and very detailed oriented and Tyler and his workers exceeded my expectations. Professionalism, communication, and craftsmanship are top notch here. My wife and I are so happy we chose this company to build us our covered porch and deck. Having owned many homes (fixer-uppers and custom built) my wife and I experienced a plethora of challenging experiences with home builders and remodeling contractors.  That was until we contacted Tyler North, owner of North Decks and Outdoor Living. During Fall 2025, North Decks and Outdoor Living expanded an existing deck plus converted our original deck to a screened porch.  From Day One, Tyler worked diligently and personally to make our overall concepts a reality.  With each phase, he addressed labor and material costs and timelines.  He kept us informed as the projects progressed, almost on a daily basis. Materials were delivered on schedule, and his crews demonstrated their outstanding carpentry skills and craftsmanship.  His crews were very polite, professional and removed all debris. Tyler handled all permits and county inspections.  He immediately made corrections when deemed necessary.  When the projects were completed, Tyler made certain each phase met our satisfaction and were within budget. We are so grateful for Tyler North's extraordinarily professional standards of excellence.
